Service Description

The individual is placed in a real work setting up to 80 hrs, about 2 weeks, preforming regular work duties. JUMP Staff assess the person at the setting. Typically we are looking for stamina, how the person gets along with others, how they follow instructions and what sort of accommodations are necessary for them to work. A final report is sent to the VR Counselor with recommendations on how to proceed with services. The individual is paid for the hours they work, by the State of Kansas. The employer has no cost or obligation to hire at end of assessment. The employer completes a short (one page) Rating Sheet rating the individual on their skills and abilities.
